The Project:
In this documentary-style video project, we follow Evy, a woman who has left behind the frenetic pace of 1950s Manhattan for the serene countryside of Southern Italy. Here, life unfolds at a slower rhythm, where the honking of city traffic is replaced by the gentle sounds of geese in the fields. This transition marks the beginning of a new chapter in Evy's life, one deeply intertwined with the local culture, traditions, and, most importantly, the food.
The aim of the project is to explore the profound connection between food and identity in Evy's new life. Through her journey, we will uncover how meals serve as a narrative thread that weaves together different environments, stories, and the discovery of a new territory. The documentary will celebrate the richness of Southern Italian culinary traditions while highlighting Evy's personal transformation.
The video will blend intimate, close-up shots of food preparation with wide-angle views of the picturesque landscape.
